The true essence of nature manifests through the wildlife as their unbridled lifestyle reveals the raw beauty and gives us a glimpse of what has somewhat disappeared from human life. It is this idea of capturing their unbridled nature that pushed me to wildlife photography. Once, while driving on the East Coast, I saw more than a hundred birds – egrets, herons, ibises, seagulls, oystercatchers – feasting on fishes in a creek on an island. The birds were loud, musical, fierce, and playful. I wanted to capture every action. A week later, I had Canon 5D mark IV laced with a Canon EF 100-400mm lens, ready to learn all about the birds – their flights, fights, playfulness, connectedness, and ferociousness. Thus began my journey as a wildlife photographer. Since then, lenses and camera models have changed but the drive to photograph wildlife has deepened.

Based in Northern Virginia, I photograph wildlife in the United States and Asia.
